The Institute of Cooperative Management (ICM), a management developement institute in the cooperative sector in Kerala, will offer higher diploma in cooperative management programme in the academic year 2010-11.
Addressing a press conference here, ICM Principal K Ravichandran said the programme catered to the training requirements of Department of Cooperation, Audit, Industries and Commerce, Handloom and other core sectors in Kerala.
The course was designed to meet the training requirements of cooperative sector in tune with changes in the sector, he said.
Stating that the government policies and changes in the economic scenario demand highly professionalised management in the public, private or coperative sector, he said the course could help managers improve their conceptual skills in understanding the managerial problems of cooperatives and develop attitude for achieving excellence in administration.
