Ministry of Tribal Affairs, Government of India, will grant 10 Scholarships to ST students for pursuing Commercial Pilot Licence (CPL) course under the scheme of Post Matric Scholarships (PMS) for the selection year 2009-10.
The terms and conditions regarding grant of scholarship will be as per the scheme of PMS of Ministry of Tribal Affairs for ST students.
The selection will be carried out by Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) through a written test to be conducted at specified centres, in English, General Knowledge, Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry.
The applicant should be an Indian National. Minimum Educational Qualification is 10+2 or equivalent with Mathematics and Physics as subjects. Income of Parent/Guardian should not exceed Rs 1.08 lakh per annum for 2008-09. Certificate of employer or competent authority has to be attached in support of this, with the application. The Training Institution has to be any Flying Club/Institute approved by the DGCA. The choices may be indicated by the applicant.
The amount of scholarship includes compulsory fees and other allowances as payable through the concerned State Government/UT Administration under the Scheme of Post Matric Scholarship for ST students, implemented by the Ministry of Tribal Affairs.
