The Director of Medical Education has notified one more allotment to the PG Medical courses this year as per the ruling of the Supreme court. This allotment will be held on 26th July at at 10.30 a.m in the Thiruvananthapuram Medical College auditorium (old). The DME in a circular states that after the final round allotment process for the PG Medical Courses 2010 conducted on 30th June,2010, forty seven PG seats were available vacant. Since the Supreme Court had prescribed the cut-off date for closing the admission as 30.06.2010, it was not possible for conducting another round of counseling.
Now Supreme Court in an order on 19.07.2010 has permitted to conduct one more allotment process to fill the vacant seats. Considering this direction it is decided to conduct one more allotment for the PG Medical Courses 2010 on July 26th, says DME.
All eligible candidates included in the rank list published by the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations/ Director of Health Services / Director of Insurance Medical Services can attend the counseling. However those who already got admission and are continuing their PG course will not be considered for the allotment on that day.
Transfer/reallotment will not be considered under any circumstances as per the direction of the Court. Candidates who wish to attend the counseling will have to download the prescribed format of preference form from the website. Candidates who are selected for admission will have to take admission on that day itself at the allotment centre and have to submit all the original certificates/documents at the time of admission for the safe custody under the Principals concerned and should remit the required fees, as per Prospectus. Selected candidates will have to submit the bond as per the Prospectus conditions at the time of admission.
Candidates who discontinue the course after taking admission will have to pay the liquidated damages as mentioned in the Prospectus. For details candidates are advised to watch the website www.dme.kerala.gov.in
