The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) will start the examinations for Classes 10 and 12 on March 3. Announcing the schedule, the CBSE said while the Class X examination would be held till March 31, the Class XII examination would conclude only on April 8. Nearly 900,000 students are scheduled to take the examinations. The Class 10 exams will begin with Music on March 3, followed by Social Science on March 5, Malayalam (Other Indian Languages or Russian, French, Spanish, Nepali, Bhutia etc) on March 8, Mathematics on March 11, Elements of Business, Elementary Book-keeping and Accountancy on March 13, Home Science on March 15, Sanskrit on March 17, Hindi course (A and B) on March 19, English course (A and B) on March 23, Science (with and without practicals) on March 26, Introductory IT on March 29 and Science Practical Skill on March 31.
The Class 12 examination will commence with Physics on March 3, Business Studies on March 4, Fashion Studies on March 5, Political science on March 6, Chemistry on March 8, English (elective and core) on March 10, History on March 12, Malayalam (Other Indian Languages or Russian, French, Spanish, Nepali, Bhutia etc) on March 15, Biology on March 17, Economics on March 18, Physical Education on March 20, Mathematics on March 22, Psychology on March 23, Computer Science on Mar 25, Hindi (elective and core) on March 27, Accountancy on March 29, Sanskrit (elective and core) on March 30, Geography on April 1, Home Science on April 5, Music / Philosophy on April 6, Sociology / Engineering Drawing on April 7 and Painting / Graphics on April 8.
