The next State Eligibility Test for enlisting qualified candidates for the
selection to the posts of Higher Secondary teachers will be held on 6th
June, 2010. LBS Centre for Science and Technology is entrusted by the
govt for conducting the test.
Eligibility : Post Graduate degree with a minimum second class plus BEd
.SC/ST candidates will get five percent relaxation in marks. Those who
have only PG qualification should have joined for BEd course in 2009.And
those who have only BEd should be those who will be sitting for the final
examination in 2009-2010 academic year. To get SET certificate they
should have passed both PG and BEd examinations.And those who write
both PG and BEd somultaneously are not eligible to apply for SET.
From this year onwards there will be SET for Computer Science,
Information Technology and Electronics .
Application form and prospectus will be available from the following Head
Post Offices in Kerala March 15 to April 17 by paying a fee of Rs.500.
SC/ST candidates need pay only 250. OBC candidates have no relaxation
in fee.
Forms will be available at Trivandrum GPO, Thaicaud, Attingal,
Neyyattinkara, Kollam, Kottarakkara, Karunagappally, Punalur,
Pathnamthitta, Adoor, Chengannur, Tiruvalla, Alappuzha, Cherthala,
Kayamkulam, Mavelikkara, Kottayam, Changanassery, Kanjirappaly,
Vaikom, Pala, Thodupuzha, Kattappana, Ernakulam, Aluva, Kochi,
Muvattupuzha, Perumbavoor, Chalakudy, Irinjalakuda, Kunnankulam,
Trissur, Wadakkancherry, Alathur, Olavakkod, Ottappalam, Palakkad,
Malappuram, Manjeri, Ponnani, Tirur, Kozhikode, Kozhikode Civil Station,
Koyilandi, Vadakara, Kalpetta, Kanjangad, Kasarkode, Kannur,
Talipalarabu and Thalassery.
Those who are outside Kerala may send a request for the prospectus with
a DD for Rs.550/- drawn in favour of Director,LBS from one of the
nationalised banks and a self addressed 31 X 25 size envelope to the
Director,LBS Centre for Science and Technology, Trivandrum.Such
applications should reach the office of LBS Director latest by April 7.
