Guru Jambheshwar University of Science and Technology (GJUST), Hisar, has decided to conduct an entrance exam for admission for the 107 seats of Directorate of Philosophy (PhD) of 14 departments of the university on December 21.
Giving this information today, University Vice-Chancellor Lt Gen (Retd) Devender Dayal Singh Sandhu said that scholarship to the tune of Rs 18000 per month and Rs 5,000 contingency allowance would also be given to 15 Phd Scholars of the university.
Besides, a university research scholarship of Rs 5,000 per month each would also be given in 14 departments.
Registrar of University, Prof R S Jaglan said that entrance exam would be conducted in two phases in concerned departments.
In first phase, exam of chemistry, mathematics, physics, bio and nanotechnology, pharmaceutical science, mechanical engineering, applied psychology, computer science and engineering, communication management and technology would be conducted from 1100 hrs to 1300 hrs.
Examination of electronic and communication engineering, environmental science and engineering, food technology, advertising, management and public relations and Haryana school of business would be conducted in the second phase from 1400 pm to 1600 hrs.
Jaglan said two research scholarships each in computer science and technology, mechanical engineering, environmental science and engineering, bio and nanotechnology, pharmaceutical science streams and one research scholarship each in electronic and communication engineering, food technology, chemistry, mathematics and physics streams would be given.
He said interested students could submit their applications in the concerned department by December 10. Any other information in this regard could be had from university website www.gjuirnet.in .
