The Banaras Hindu University will hold All India Competitive Written Test for admission to MBBS course (63 seats) in TWO stages: PMT-2009 SCREENING and PMT-2009 MAIN, and to BDS (28 seats)/BAMS (57 seats) / B. Pharm. (28 seats) and B.Pharm.(Ay.) (Paid seats - 30) courses in ONE stage: PMT-2009 Screening. PMT-2009 SCREENING shall be held on Wednesday, the 6th May 2009 at Varanasi, Delhi, Kolkata, and Hyderabad Centres, to screen candidates for eligibility to take PMT-2009 MAIN examination for MBBS course which will be held on Sunday, the 14th June 2009 at Varanasi Centre only. For BDS/BAMS/B.Pharm./B.Pharm(Ay.) courses, candidates will be selected on the basis of their merit in the PMT-2009 SCREENING.
ELIGIBILITY
Passed Intermediate, 10+2 or equivalent examination in English, Physics, Chemistry and Biology (Zoology + Botany) taken together; (i) For MBBS/BDS/BAMS/B.Pharm.(Ay.) – A minimum of 50% for general and 40% aggregate marks for OBC/SC/ST candidates; (ii) For B.Pharm. – A minimum of 60% marks for general & OBC and 55% aggregate marks for SC/ST candidates. Candidates appearing in qualifying examination may also apply.
Completed 17 years but not crossed 25 years as on 31st December, 2009 (Candidates born after 1st January, 1993 and on or before 31st December, 1984 need not apply).
